Shelves...shelves.....shelves.....we all need them!

There are plenty of useful bespoke items we can build - filling awkward alcoves, hallways, under stairs, providing useful shelving/storage in all rooms of the home or business - Simon has built every type of shelving for many years so is quite an expert these days - do ask his advice...on anythiing from what affects the costs of bookshelves, to the difference between floating or built-in shelves......

Many choices are available to create the look you want - from Painted MDF, incorporating some wood or using solid wood or veneer to alter the look; The thickness of the shelves is one detail that can make all the difference to the look of the finished piece. - - Veneer is another option & a very economical & efficient use of an increasingly precious commodity - wood - as well as cost effective. Finishing decorative details come in a myriad of choices from simple undecorated shelving, floating shelves, to different choices of architraves, panelling, routing beading if making enclosed shelves....

This shelving would be great in an open plan kitchen-diner or home office where a pull out shelf/desk could be incorporated From £2500

Here my client asked me to fill an entire hallway with Shaker Style shelving, some with an oak worktop & cupboards beneath to reflect the beams, oak door & skirting from £4,000
